50th Wedding Anniversary Favors

Picture 286

A certain wedding favor you may never have heard of is actually quite traditional in some Latin American countries. It is called a capia. The capia is a favor to remember a wedding and/or baby shower and is pinned on guests like a corsage. Typically the ribbons are printed on with the names of the bride and groom or parents -to-be along with the date of the occasion.  I opt not to take that extra step and kept them pretty simple for my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Supplies needed:

Lace

Ribbons

Decorative Pieces

Needle and Thread (to sow the lace together to form the circle)

Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (to glue on the ribbons and decorative pieces for the center)

The capias are fairly easy to make but they are time-consuming so planning ahead is wise. I went with white and gold to represent to Golden anniversary theme.

The capias are now a keepsake and can be put into a scrapbook and/or into a memory box.

*If you want further information, there are many tutorials on YouTube and plenty ideas on pinterest.*

Happy Golden,

Jackie
